The Global Head of Licensing will have a key role in expanding the licensing business to new applications and partnerships and fulfilling the Company´s vision of setting a new standard of care for preventing infections and saving lives. You will report to the CEO and be a member of the global management team and expected to take an active role in contributing to the company’s overall development. Our headquarters are located south of Stockholm.
The Global Head of Licensing will have the overall responsibility for leading, managing and growing the out-licensing business – with our current partners and in new therapeutic areas. As potential licensing partners are spread around the globe, this role is truly international. You will be responsible for the entire process from lead generation to project management of joint development / testing /regulatory activities carried out together with license partners, both pre and post contract signing, as well as negotiations and development of contract terms and conditions. Continuously monitoring market trends and developments, as well as competitive threats, and managing sales & marketing activities together with our partners will also be part of your responsibility. The Global Head of Licensing will be leading the licensing project development team, initially consisting of 2-3 project managers.
We are looking for a senior, business and sales oriented professional, with several years of international commercial management experience from the Life Science industry and a strong track record in B2B sales and business development. It is important to understand the business logic of licensing, even though it is not necessary to have had the overall responsibility of out-licensing before. It is also highly valuable to have worked close to R&D, to understand the product development process within Life Science.
A relevant background could be a managerial position within scientific sales or business development in an international medical device/biotech/pharma company. A solid network at senior level from the medtech sector is a merit.
The new Global Head of Licensing is a people oriented and relations driven team player with a strategic and commercial mindset, coupled with good analytical skills. The position also requires excellent communication skills, and the candidate must have the ability to influence at all levels of a business.
